The W. Paul Cole, Jr. School of Business at Bluefield State College offers a variety of baccalaureate degree programs, including Accountancy, Business Administration and Health Services Management. The W. Paul Cole, Jr.  School of Business is housed in an ultra-modern facility with state-of-the-art technology. All eight of the classrooms in the building are electronic; four have additional full Interactive Video Network (IVN) technology that enables courses to be offered simultaneously in five different geographic locations.  All classrooms are equipped for live broadcasting of class sessions via the internet, with full lecture capture of many classes.  This provides distance learning students with an educational experience equivalent to that offered in the traditional classroom.

 

The W. Paul Cole, Jr. School of Business takes tremendous pride in the fact that its baccalaureate Business Administration and Accountancy programs are accredited nationally by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the premier accrediting agency for business schools focused on teaching excellence. TheW. Paul Cole, Jr. School of Business was the third business school in West Virginia to receive national accreditation, following West Virginia University and Marshall University. The School is fully committed to maintaining a culture focused on continuous improvement and has established systematic processes for identifying opportunities for improving teaching, curricula and business processes. Note:  All students majoring in Business Administration and Accountancy are required to take a major field test prior to graduating.
