Mining Engineering Technology, B.S.

The BSET in Mining Engineering Technology (MIET) program is designed to provide students with an engineering, industry, and technology background associated with all classifications of mining operations. The program’s primary purpose is to develop students with a mining engineering background to become engineers, supervisors, and leaders in the mining industry.

Students may earn a bachelor’s degree after successfully completing a minimum of 121 hours of the prescribed curriculum. The programs will introduce students to theoretical and practical concepts related to mining engineering and expose them to mining technology and equipment, active mining operations, and key industry personnel.
