Introduces student knowledge and understanding of sonographic skills under supervision through observation and participation in a diagnostic medical environment; may include on-campus lab setting, private office setting, and hospital rotation. Includes various types of sonographic imaging specialties, such as abdominal, small parts imaging, obstetrics, and gynecology. At the end of course, the student will have 360 contact clinical hours and 8 contact lab hours.
