NASC 200L - Introduction to Scientific Research Lecture Hour(s): 0 Lab Hour(s): 1 Credit Hour(s): 1
Independent Research where students gain research experience in the laboratories of program faculty located on BSC’s main campus. Course credit usually equates into 40-45 hours of research activity and 30 hours of research training per credit hour. The mentoring faculty member will submit registration of research projects as a course. Independent Laboratory Research courses involve hands-on benchwork and laboratory techniques that are non-clinical in nature. Since the nature of research projects is individual for each student, this course shall have a different CRN for each student. Independent Study. Fall, Spring
Prerequisite(s): One semester of an Applied Science lecture and lab with a grade of “C” or higher. Instructor permission is required.
