The College of Arts, Education, and Social Sciences stands as the cornerstone of Bluefield State University, providing a foundational education. We are dedicated to providing a dynamic and inclusive educational experience tailored to the diverse interests of our students. Within our college, we also offer Baccalaureate degree programs encompassing Humanities with concentrations in English and Strategic Public Relations, Elementary Education, Social Science with concentrations in History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology, and Criminal Justice with concentrations in Corrections & Treatment Specialist, Forensic Procedure & Evidence, Homeland Security & Terrorism, Law Enforcement, Cyber Security, and Forensic Procedure & Evidence. Students also have the opportunity to delve deeper into areas of interest by choosing from a wide range of minors, including African American History, History, Humanities, International Studies, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology, allowing for a customized and enriched academic experience.
