HONR 210 - Speech & Debate Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lab Hour(s): 0 Credit Hour(s): 3
In this course, students will learn how to speak effectively to the public in a variety of situations, including professional research presentations and formal debate. Students will learn to research and analyze information for public speech, as well as learn to use relevant body language and visual aids. They will also hone their skills at giving helpful, constructive feedback to their peers on their speaking, debate, and public performance abilities. This course is specifically restricted to and required for students enrolled in the Honors College program. Course satisfies the college’s General Studies speech and communications requirement.
Prerequisite(s): HONR 102 or ENGL 102
