Establishes the sonography student foundations of diagnostic medical sonography, including sonographic terminology, scan plane orientations, anatomic relationships, sonographic departmental ethics and professionalism, basic patient care principles and techniques, patient and student safety aspects of sonography, and the hospital environment. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the University and enrolled in a School of Nursing or Allied Health major or pre-major. Permission of instructor.
