BUSN 240 - Business Technology II Lecture Hour(s): 1 Lab Hour(s): 2 Credit Hour(s): 3
The course is an advanced technology course and is a micro-credential course that prepares students with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to perform data analysis and visualization. The micro-credential is a competency-based recognition and students receive a digital certificate and or badge that verifies their proficiency in Business Technology II and can be shared on online portfolios, and resumes. Topics include how to manipulate, organize, summarize, and present data in various formats, such as tables, charts, graphs, dashboards and reports, application of concepts and techniques of business analytics, such as descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, to solve real-world business problems and decision making, and the various tools and methods, such as formulas, functions, pivot tables, what-if analysis, formula auditing, data validation and importing data.
Prerequisite(s): BUSN 130 or COSC 102 or Permission of Instructor .
